Download the One app and sign up. You'll confirm your phone number or email with a one-time code, whichever the sign-up screen asks for.
Steps
- Enter your phone number or email, whichever the sign-up screen asks for.
- Enter the 6-digit code sent to you. If it expires, request a new one.
- Turn on notifications so you're alerted when your account is ready.
- Most new accounts start on a waitlist. Invite friends from the waitlist screen: once 4 of them sign up with your invite code, you're in. If your screen offers Don't want to invite? Take the Fast Lane, you can skip the invites instead and give up the One Bonus you'd have earned from them. See Invite friends and earn.
- Upload a valid ID to verify your identity — see Verifying your identity for accepted documents.
- Once verified, apply for your virtual card in the app and add it to Google Wallet or Apple Pay — see Your One virtual card.
One account per person
Each cell phone number, email address and device can only be linked to one One account. If you've lost access to a previous account — for example, you no longer have the phone number that was registered — don't create a new account. Use account recovery instead and we'll help you regain access to your existing one.
If your account has a verified email, the quickest way back in is Sign in, then Log in with email instead: we send the code to your email, and once you're in you can change your phone number in Account details.
Otherwise, on the app's welcome screen (with Create account and Sign in), tap the ? at the top. Tap Continue on Lost access to your number? to reach Recover your account. Our team reviews every request before anything changes.
