Uno Terms of Service

Effective Date: December 1, 2025

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your creation and use of Uno accounts, balance features, pay links, applications for financial products, and related services made available by Standard Economics, Corp. ("Uno," "we," "us," or "our") through the Uno website and mobile application.

By creating an account, signing in, using a pay link, applying for a financial product, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. Viewing public pages alone does not by itself create an account or financial product relationship with Uno or its partners.

1. Who We Are

Uno is a financial technology service operated by Standard Economics, Corp., a Delaware corporation based in the United States.

Uno is not a bank. Certain Services are provided through regulated financial institutions, issuers, transaction providers, settlement providers, and other partners.

Uno is not a custodian and does not itself receive, hold, safeguard, or custody customer funds. Certain Services are provided through regulated financial institutions and other partners that may receive, hold, move, or settle funds in connection with those Services.

2. What These Terms Cover

These Terms apply to your use of:

  • The Uno website and mobile application through which we make Services available
  • Account registration and profile features
  • Account access and balance displays
  • Pay links, request links, and similar shareable link features
  • Financial product application features
  • Other Uno services we make available from time to time

Certain Services may be subject to additional product-specific or partner-specific documents, including cardholder agreements, account disclosures, electronic communications disclosures, privacy notices, or Financial Product Disclosures and Consents. If a more specific product or partner document conflicts with these Terms, the more specific document controls for that Service.

3. How Uno Works

Uno provides software, interfaces, support, and related operational services that allow you to access account, balance, link-based, and financial product experiences.

Depending on the feature:

  • Uno may provide the product interface and account experience
  • A partner may issue a card, facilitate transactions, settle funds, or provide regulated account services
  • Uno and one or more partners may each perform identity verification, fraud review, sanctions screening, eligibility review, servicing, or other compliance and risk controls

Not all Services work the same way. Some features may be available only in the app, only on the web, or only after additional verification or acceptance of supplemental terms.

4. Eligibility and Accounts

To use the Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • Reside in a supported jurisdiction for the relevant Service
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain control of the phone number, email address, device, or other credentials associated with your account

You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, except to the extent caused by our breach of these Terms or where applicable law provides otherwise.

You must promptly notify us if you believe your account, access credentials, device, or communications channels have been compromised.

5. Balances and Account Features

Certain Services may let you view balances, receive or claim value, use pay links, or access other account-related features.

Availability, timing, and feature access may vary by product, partner, user, and jurisdiction.

Some features may be informational only or may require additional verification or acceptance of supplemental terms before they can be used.

6. Jurisdictional Availability and Partner-Provided Services

Uno is operated by Standard Economics, Corp., a U.S. company. The Services may be made available in one or more countries or jurisdictions, subject to legal, regulatory, operational, and partner availability.

Certain transaction, settlement, identity, compliance, card, account, or other regulated functions may be provided through third-party partners and regulated institutions in the jurisdictions where the Services are offered.

Availability, functionality, timing, and limits may vary by country, product, partner, user, legal requirements, and operational constraints.

7. Transactions and Account Activity

You may be able to use the Services to receive, claim, request, move, or otherwise interact with balances, transactions, or account activity.

You authorize Uno and its partners to process instructions you submit through the Services, subject to holds, limits, security reviews, partner requirements, and applicable law.

We or our partners may delay, reject, cancel, reverse, or restrict any transaction, instruction, withdrawal, claim, movement of value, or account activity if we determine that doing so is necessary or appropriate for reasons including:

  • Fraud, scam, abuse, or security concerns
  • Identity, sanctions, AML, CTF, or other compliance review
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Operational, technical, or settlement issues
  • Suspected violation of these Terms or other applicable documents

You are responsible for the accuracy of recipient details, account identifiers, usernames, and other instructions you provide.

8. Pay Links and Request Links

Uno may allow you to create, send, receive, claim, pay, or share pay links or request links.

When you use a link-based feature, you understand and agree that:

  • Links may be shared by text, messaging apps, email, social media, or other channels
  • Certain link information may be visible to recipients or to preview systems, crawlers, or platforms that generate link previews
  • Information associated with a link may include a username, profile image, amount, and limited context
  • Some links may be one-time use, while others may be reusable or usable by multiple people
  • Links may expire, be disabled, be canceled, or stop working without prior notice
  • Claims or transactions initiated through links may be delayed, reversed, restricted, or rejected for fraud, compliance, dispute, or operational reasons

You are responsible for sharing links only with intended recipients and for reviewing any link settings before sharing them.

If you use a request link or complete a transaction through a link in error, recovery may not be possible. We do not guarantee that mistaken or unauthorized activity can be canceled or reversed, except as required by law or where partner rules provide otherwise.

9. Profiles, Usernames, and Public Information

Certain profile elements may be public or discoverable through the Services. These may include:

  • Your username
  • Your display name
  • Your profile photo
  • Whether an account, user, or link exists
  • Limited activity context shown through links or previews

You may not impersonate another person, use a misleading username, or upload content that is unlawful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, or offensive.

We may remove, restrict, reclaim, or require changes to usernames, profile photos, or related profile content at any time.

10. Financial Product and Card Features

Some Uno features may involve financial product applications, card access, other risk-evaluated features, or partner-issued account services.

Applying for or being invited to a financial product does not guarantee approval, a particular limit, pricing, or continued availability.

Additional documents may apply before you can open, activate, or use those features, including:

  • Financial Product Disclosures and Consents
  • E-Sign and electronic communications disclosures
  • Account disclosures
  • Cardholder agreements
  • Partner privacy notices
  • Other issuer or partner documents

Once a financial product or partner-issued account is opened, separate partner or product documents may govern pricing, payments, statements, disputes, servicing, and related matters.

11. Communications

You agree that Uno and, where applicable, our partners may contact you regarding your account and the Services through in-app messages, email, text messages, push notifications, phone calls, or other electronic means permitted by law.

These communications may include:

  • One-time passcodes and authentication messages
  • Service and support messages
  • Security alerts
  • Legal disclosures and required notices
  • Account, balance, activity, and transaction notices
  • Application, servicing, account obligations, collections, or risk-related communications where applicable

Marketing communications remain subject to any separate consent or opt-out rights required by law.

12. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Services to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, sanctions rule, or court order
  • Commit fraud, theft, money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illegal activity
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority
  • Exploit, abuse, scrape, interfere with, or disrupt the Services or related systems
  • Create or share deceptive, unauthorized, or abusive links
  • Use the Services for prohibited businesses, prohibited transactions, or prohibited geographies
  • Infringe or misuse our rights or the rights of another person

We may maintain and enforce additional prohibited activity or acceptable use policies from time to time.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to some or all Services at any time, with or without advance notice, if we or a partner determine that:

  • You may have violated these Terms or another applicable agreement
  • Your activity creates legal, regulatory, fraud, reputational, security, or operational risk
  • We are required to act by law, regulation, court order, or partner instruction
  • The relevant Service is no longer supported in your jurisdiction

We may also place holds, freeze activity, limit transactions, disable links, or require additional information before allowing continued use of a Service.

Termination does not affect obligations that survive by their nature, including payment or other financial obligations, reporting obligations, liability provisions, dispute provisions, and rights related to completed transactions or opened financial products.

14. Third-Party and Partner Services

The Services may rely on or interoperate with third-party websites, applications, financial institutions, issuers, processors, merchants, identity vendors, regulated institutions, and service providers.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, partner availability, merchant conduct, or the terms of any third party except as expressly stated by us in writing.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms, privacy policies, and risk disclosures.

15. No Advice

Uno does not provide legal, tax, investment, accounting, or fiduciary advice. Any information made available through the Services is for general informational purposes only unless we expressly state otherwise.

You are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability and risks of any service, transaction, link, or financial product.

16. Disclaimers

Except as expressly required by law, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Uno disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Services will always be available, secure, or error-free
  • Any transaction, claim, request, or balance-related activity will be completed, settled, or honored
  • Any feature or financial product will remain available or be approved
  • Any application outcome will meet your expectations

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Uno and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Uno's aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount of fees you paid directly to Uno for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim
  • USD $100

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Uno and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, partners, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Services
  • Your violation of these Terms or another applicable agreement
  • Your violation of law or the rights of another person
  • Your content, profile, links, transactions, or other activity through the Services

19. Changes to the Services and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any Service at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law or as otherwise reasonable under the circumstances. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent that mandatory law of another jurisdiction applies.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services must be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, unless:

  • Applicable law requires otherwise
  • A more specific product or partner agreement provides a different dispute resolution framework for the relevant Service

You and Uno consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts, subject to the sentence above.
